I wrote under an apple tree this when I was 17 years old. I had just discovered Hiphop and loved the rhythms and fast paced vocals... This was my attempt at making my own. Dave and Ed added the beat and bass to develop it into how you hear it today... This one is a crowd pleaser at gigs!! Its naive, cheesy and I'm fully embracing it!!! :-)
lyrics
Weaving in and out of Passages
Weaving in and out of Passages of life and democracy,
Many people crying for help
Where's the philosophy?
Minimalised, maximised
Life is a mystery,
Fact or fiction we are all history.
Money is corruption
Corruption is money
Take a look at the way we live,
don't you think it’s kind of funny?
Wanting to be right to fit on the book,
Fuck that, be yourself and people will look.
Sex, Joy, wanting to be free is wanted by her him you and me.
Wisest is she, is she who knows she does not know,
What we're coming to baby, where we're going to go.
Forwards, Backwards
Under and over,
All I needs my personal chauffeur x4
Got to look forward, no time to look back,
Get yourself together girl,
Get yourself on track
What are you scared of, wrong of the right
Think make sure, you'll be sound of the night
Something sparkled in his spine
The view of delight couldn't help but shine
The thought of feeling oh so divine,
Made him walk across towards the line
Something sparkled in his spine
The view of delight couldn't help but shine
The thought of feeling oh so divine,
Made him walk across towards the line
Wanting to be right to fit on the book… (repeat from above
