She's a tall tower flower of love,
It's the crochet hour,
As they work back stooped together.
She celebrates the dirt marks left in the corner of an old phone book
She kisses them remembering her long but late gardening husband
Cos she's a wise wild elderflower of love...
And as the windows steam now and the crochet needles flicker now,
The snow outsides melts in their joy.
She teaches her how to knit a small wee red flower of love,
As they work back stooped together,
They make the family a bundle of warmth of crazy colours;
Red, pink, orange, copper, green and blue
Oh two beautiful generations of the same quality and quantity of crochet love
But as the windows steam now and the crochet needles,
yes they flicker now,
The snow outsides melts in their joy.

The snowy white heavens twinkle around outside
As familiar young minds exhilarate on sledges rushing by
Oh such joyful screams from such chill full joy,
Gentle ski marks track serene rides as
Rosie cheeks and warm thighs celebrate outside
And as the windows steam now and the crochet needles
Yes they flicker now,
